Taste of Downtown is a time-honored tradition bringing together friends and businesses to celebrate Elmira businesses while visiting one of Elmira's historic gems - Arnot Art Museum. A festive night of silent and live auctions and a “Taste” of our area businesses. Each year the auction’s proceeds help fund The Elmira Street Painting Festival - bringing art and community together while showcasing the heart of our city.

The Taste of Downtown Fundraiser was scheduled for March 19th – Due to the COVID-19, the organization had to cancel the event. Part of the event is a silent auction and basket raffle. We have all these wonderful items that were donated through the generosity of our local businesses. With their permission, we decided to host an online auction to generate the funds needed to produce all of our special events. At this time, Elmira Street Painting Festival is canceled but we will host a smaller virtual event with artists painting from their homes. The proceeds generated from the online auction will go towards creating even bigger events for our community in 2021.

Winners can retrieve their items at Elmira Downtown Development, Inc., located at 311 East Water Street on July 27th and 28th. The staff will have your items ready after 12:00 on Monday, July 27th. The office will be open until 5:00 both Monday and Tuesday.
