Board of Directors

Elmira Downtown Development is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation administering downtown Elmira's Business Improvement District. Funded entirely by a special assessment tax on properties within the 52-block district, EDD has as its mission the revitalization of the central business core of the city.

Elmira Downtown BID Board of Directors

Elmira Downtown Development, Inc. has nineteen members on its Board of Directors. Twelve are elected by BID Members at the Annual Meeting in the following membership classes:

-- Ten (13) directors shall be owners of commercial property;
-- Three (1) director representing tenants pursuant to a commercial lease
-- One (1) director representing tenants pursuant to a residential lease.

-- The remaining four seats are reserved for representatives from the City of Elmira

Board members serve 3 years terms.
