It's Coming to Elmira from March 20th - 29th, 2020
Elmira Restaurant Week is a fun, new foodie-filled event for our community. What a fun way for locals to experience the amazing restaurants that Elmira and the surrounding area have to offer. Restaurant Week invites our visitors to try something new or rediscover a local favorite with special fixed menus, all to tempt their taste-buds while supporting local businesses.
Here's how it works:
Participating restaurants offer price menu(s) at $10, $12 for Breakfast/lunch and $20, $30 or $40 for dinner or two for one option. Beverages, Gratuity and Taxes not included.
How to Participate:
1. Create a special menu item that can fit under a flat fee:
$10-$12 Coffee, Dessert & Drinks
$20: Lunch Specials (2 for one, 2 meals plus drinks $20.00)
$30/$40: Dinner Meal (2 for one, 2 meals plus drinks)

2. When a customer orders something off your restaurant week menu, they will receive Elmira RW Foodie punch card (provided by EDD) and should receive one stamp to qualify for prizes from Elmira Downtown Development, Inc.
3. All menu items will be promoted on elmiradowntown.com and in EDD Social media, press materials to drive foot traffic.
Participating Elmira Restaurant Week establishments will be encouraged to make a minimum donation to Meals on Wheels or Food Bank of the Southern Tier via Elmira Downtown Development!
Thank you for your interest in Elmira's Restaurant Week 2020! Please read all of the expectations and requirements before filling out the application below.
Expectations of Restaurants for Application:
Restaurant is located within the Elmira area, includes neighboring communities
Restaurant is independently owned and operated
Agreeable to the event timeline dates outlined below
Encouraged to participate in EDD's Annual Taste of Downtown on March 19, 2020 including staff on site and a minimum of 300, 1 oz. sample menu items, as detailed below – Please see the Taste of Downtown application you received in the mail. Please call the office if you need an application.
Active participation in promotion of Restaurant Week 2020 before and throughout the week
Provide special Restaurant Week menu for patrons throughout entire duration of Restaurant Week
Participating Restaurants Agree To:
Entry Fee: $100 to cover marketing costs - please see below
Agree to participate in Taste of Downtown Event on March 19th 2020. (This is not mandatory - the organization would appreciate the support of their annual fundraiser for Community Special Events)
If you decide to participate in Taste of Downtown:
this means:
Staffing a 10'X10' booth at the event (Please see application). FREE TO PARTICIPATE
Providing a minimum of 300, 1 oz. samples for event attendees (samples should be inspired by restaurant's Restaurant Week menu items, can be more than one option).
Provide menu item and any necessary logos, graphics and photos by February 7 via elmiradowntown.com/elmirarestaurantweek
Promote Restaurant Week (including Taste of Downtown Event), as well as specific menu items, on all available channels (in-house, website, social media, etc.) from March 10- March 29th.
Provide us with a short survey after the event to gage the success. Example: Increase sales from previous year/week (This information is confidential, and used strictly to determine economic impact of Restaurant Week.)
Elmira Downtown Development Agrees To:
Produce the event of Taste of Downtown on March 19 and Elmira's Restaurant Week from March 20th - 29th 2020.
Provide each restaurant with Elmira Restaurant Week Punch Cards
Produce a comprehensive Restaurant Week marketing campaign, highlighting all participating restaurants.
Restaurant Week Commercial
Restaurant Week Bill Board
Participating restaurants will be featured at least once on social media platforms.
Each restaurant will be included on Restaurant Week website, email newsletters, press releases and more.
Purchase & provide print collateral recognizing participating restaurants, including but not limited to:
Promotional piece at Taste of Downtown event.
Table tents advertising Restaurant Week within the selected restaurants.
Stickers highlighting dates of Restaurant Week and "Eat Local" message.
Flyers/posters as requested.
Additional collateral as available.
Provide two complimentary tickets to Taste of Downtown Event for each participating restaurant (may be used as promotional items or personal use).

February 7 - Applications due to Elmira Downtown Development
February 14 - Menus, graphics, photos & applicable forms due to Elmira Downtown Development via www.elmiradowntown.com/elmirarestaurantweek
February 21 - Participating restaurants announced to public, promotion begins
March 19 - Taste of Downtown Event at Arnot Art Museum
March 20th-29th - Elmira's Restaurant Week 2020
